Presenter Information
Proposal Requirements
2 hours KDHE approved
Presentations must reflect developmentally appropriate practices as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Proposal must be submitted online
Selling or advertising merchandise during sessions is strictly prohibited. KDHE stated policy is that presenters may not use their sessions as a forum for product sales. Presenters selling products may want to consider renting a booth in the Exhibit Hall’s Exhibit section.
CCPC Invites Proposals That:
Address current challenges faced by early childhood professionals and are solution-oriented
Use active approaches to enhance attendee learning
Engage attendees in stimulating activities and discussion
Present new strategies and fresh perspectives on traditional content supported by research
Help participants turn ideas into action
Target either new, mid-career, or seasoned professionals
Address the needs of family child care provider and early childhood professionals that focus on quality improvement in programs for young children and their families

Age Level
CCPC seeks proposals that address the age range of birth through age eight. You will be asked to identify the age level addresses: Infant, Toddler, Preschool/Pre-K, or School Age. You may select more than one age group
Target Audience
The CCPC conference attracts a diverse group of attendees. We seek proposals that are targeted to these experience levels:
Level 1
Knowledge and skills expected of a professional new to the profession
Level 2
Knowledge and skills expected of a professional with a CDA
or equivalent training or education
Level 3
Knowledge and skills expected of a professional with an associate’s degree
in early childhood or related fields
Level 4
Knowledge and skills expected of a professional with a bachelor’s degree
in child development or related fields
Level 5
Knowledge and skills expected of a professional with an advanced degree
in child development or related fields
Core Knowledge Area
To ensure a well-rounded program and provide content that appeals to all attendees, each proposal must identify which Core Knowledge Area covered by the training.

Submission Tips
Topic: Pick a topic that is timely, relevant, and thought-provoking.
Title: Be creative and clear with your title. A good title will invite the attendee to join by making the topic and content distinct and engaging.
Description: This should be a brief overview of the workshop/session you are proposing. The description will be used in the conference program.
Presentation Tips
Plan your time carefully to allot an appropriate amount of time for your presentation, for questions, and for a discussion.
Start and end on time
Address the subject matter immediately.
Introductions should take only a few minutes.
Please make sure to speak clearly while presenting. If an attendee asks a question, repeat their question to help other attendees hear it clearly.
Avoid reading and lecturing to attendees, have fun!
Event Information
The CCPC Professional Development Event and Conference provides a powerful platform to network with over 100+ childcare professionals and to share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices in the field.
We also offer presenters the following:

Lead presenter may choose between a complementary conference registration or a $30 honorarium for their workshop session.

Valuable experience presenting at one of the best ECE state-level conferences.

Networking opportunities with and visibility to 100+ ECE professionals.

Each session will have a CCPC board member as a host to assist presenter during their workshop.

CCPC will take care of sending out workshop certificates.
