Your Voice Matters!

We need Kansas Family Child Care Providers from across the state to reach out to law makers before the upcoming bill & budget hearings impacting child care.

An email to your state senator and state representative will be an effective way to tell your story. Let your lawmakers know about the good and not so good events of running a small business. Showcase why family child care is worth the investment, share how Kansas providers have benefit from the work being done and how the investments can help their programs and the families they serve. Keep the email short and to the point.

Who should you email? Follow a few simple steps to find out who your lawmakers are.

Step 1 – Go to the Kansas Action for Children's website.

Step 2 – Go to “ACTION” on the Toolbar

Step 3 – Under Action you will click “FIND YOUR LEGISLATOR” This will take you to a new page where you will type in your address, and you will be able to see your state senator and state representative’s name. Click on the senator’s or representative’s name and you will find information about the individual including their email address.
