President

PRESIDENT’S DUTIES

1. The harmonious working of the organization depends on the leadership of the President.

2. The President should uphold the highest professional standards. A good leader challenges member to positive growth, delegate responsibilities for continuous and positive participation.

3. Be very knowledgeable of the contents of the current CCPC of KS, INC. Bylaws and policies.

4. Know the basic rules of parliamentary procedure to conduct an orderly meeting.

5. Set dates for at least three board meetings per fiscal year.

6. Preside and call meeting to order and direct the business meeting.

7. Preside at the Annual Meeting at Conference.

8. Appoint temporary Secretary if elected one is absent.

9. Appoint with Board approval the Newsletter Editor, Conference Coordinator, Membership Secretary, Committee Chairs and Board vacancies and any other organization inviting CCPC representation.

10. Delegate responsibilities to all Board Members.

11. Check frequently on progress of committees.

12. Arrange to have another person (usually the Vice-President) to preside if you cannot attend a meeting or fulfill other obligations.

13. Serve as Past-President for two years following presidency.

14. Keep a complete notebook or computer memory drive to pass on the next President.

15. Must submit a letter to members to newsletter editor every issue.

16. Must prepare and distribute agenda for all meetings.

17. Have board members vote to change/approve minutes through email.

18. Check ccpcofks@gmail.com e-mails frequently and respond quickly. Keep membership contact list updated.
